			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I just spent 3 days in a beautiful Baltimore Inner Harbor area masterminding with my clients &#8211; coaches, consultants, speakers, and information entrepreneurs who are creating a recurring revenue business.</p>
<p>The experience was truly transformational for all of us, and I wanted to share a few things I learned this week:</p>
<ol>
<li>There are hundreds of ways to create a successful business, but only a handful are right for YOU. Take your time identifying your skills, passions, and dreams before investing too much time or money into your business.</li>
<li> The &#8220;guru&#8221; doesn&#8217;t have all the answers. What works for your mentor or your colleagues may not always work for you. Get advice from others, but use your own goals and skill set as filters for deciding how to proceed.</li>
<li>When shifting into another business model, be patient. New revenue streams may take time to show up in your life, but when they do, you&#8217;ll love the new ways you&#8217;re creating income and can slowly let the old ways go.</li>
<li>It can be both, scary and exciting to create new income opportunities in your business. But as long as you&#8217;re more excited than scared, it&#8217;s okay to move forward!</li>
<li>Nothing is ever wasted in business. Even if you created a product and put it out there, and nobody bought, you haven&#8217;t really wasted anything. Now you know how to go through the process of creating and launching a product, and can do it over and over again, getting better with each try.</li>
</ol>
<p>Most importantly, surround yourself with people who can support you and love you no matter what, and give you the courage to keep growing your business!</p>

<p>But let&#8217;s face it—they also signed up because doing so was free, so there was no risk for them to do so.  In return, you send them information at no cost every time you update your blog or publish an issue of your ezine.  So how do you get these subscribers or followers to say an enthusiastic &#8220;yes&#8221; when it comes to the fee-based products and programs that you offer?<br />
<span id="more-964"></span></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Know your target market&#8217;s deepest hopes and fears.</strong> What exactly does your client yearn for?  What breaks her heart?  What does she feel is missing from her life?  The more specific you get about the needs and desires of your potential clients, the more likely you&#8217;ll develop programs and Web copy that resonates with them.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li><strong>Ask questions that they can say &#8220;yes&#8221; to.</strong> Based on what you&#8217;ve outlined above, write those hopes and fears in the form of questions.  For example, suppose you specialize in working with people who are is underemployed and/or under-utilized at work.  You can ask questions like &#8220;Does your present job bore you to tears?  Would you love to have a career that you feel passionate about?&#8221;  If your target market consists of people in need of work/life balance, your questions might include &#8220;Do you feel as though you never have time to do anything you want to do?&#8221; or &#8220;Has being all work and no play damaged your relationship with your children?&#8221; When your questions speak directly to a person&#8217;s pain points, he or she is more open to considering purchasing something that promises to ease the pain.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li><strong>Remove or minimize the risk of buying from you. </strong> Remember that the reasons people signed up for your ezine or blog feed were the opportunity to receive information they needed at no financial risk to themselves.  Make sure that your products and program offers have the same dual impact.  Providing a generous money-back guarantee minimizes the risk factor of purchasing from you; delivering high quality products that address your customers&#8217; needs minimizes your need to have to issue refunds on purchases—a win-win for everyone!</li>

<li><strong>Make it as easy as possible for potential customers to order and pay. </strong>Every added step to the purchasing process allows your buyer-to-be a fresh opportunity to question his or her purchasing decision, and perhaps abandon it altogether.  One- and two-click check outs have the greatest conversion rate, as the transaction gets completed before the customer can experience any misgivings about how or why he or she is making the purchase.</li>

<p>Of course there are dozens of other marketing and copywriting techniques you can and should utilize in order to increase the sales of your programs and products, but these four are the most basic and critical.  Get these down pat and watch your bottom line grow accordingly.</p>

<p>I have a system for consistently bringing new client leads into my business (through web sites, articles, social media, publicity, free giveaways, etc.). The result of a great lead generating system is a large and well-targeted mailing list. If your list is very small or has not been growing with at least 20 new names a day, this might the area for you to focus on.</p>
<p><strong>2. Converting Leads -</strong></p>
<p>I have a consistent follow-up system for converting prospects into clients (teleclasses, newsletter, live events, information products, post cards, CDs, DVDs, and other activities that create a buyer; also, compelling marketing materials that turn your prospect into buyers; ). The result of a great lead conversion system are consistent sales.</p>
<p><strong>3. Revenue Streams -</strong></p>
<p>I created multiple revenue streams in my business (product funnel with low ticket and high ticket products, information products to educate my prospects, coaching program, passive &amp; residual income streams; not just relying on client income). The result of having multiple revenue streams is usually a greater personal freedom, a much lower stress level, financial security, and predictable monthly income.</p>
<p><strong>4. Strategic Alliances -</strong></p>
<p>I constantly seek new joint venture opportunities to accelerate the growth of my business (e.g. co-hosting events, co-creating products, cross promotion of existing products, being a contributor to someone&#8217;s membership site or newsletter etc.) The result of strategic alliances is a much greater niche market penetration; more people have heard of you, read about you, bought from you, attended your teleclasses, and joined your programs. You have a bigger share of the market in your industry.</p>
<p><strong>5. Internet Technology -</strong></p>
<p>I effectively use technology in my business to automate time-consuming but essential tasks (e.g. shopping cart, web sites, autoresponders, article submission, newsletter publishing, blog, podcasts, ad tracking, list building, affiliate program etc.). The result of using the Internet effectively is usually a lot more free time and more effortless marketing.</p>
<p><strong>6. Client Relationships -</strong></p>
<p>I have a system for consistently pre-qualifying, nurturing, and supporting my clients to build lifetime relationships (client application process, welcome kit, managing client&#8217;s expectations, different stages of growth for your clients).</p>
<p><strong>7. Support Team -</strong></p>
<p>I have team that supports me in all areas of my business. I delegate everything that gets in my way of doing what makes me brilliant (administrative, creative, and client care; virtual assistant, writer, designer, bookkeeper, associate coaches). The result of having the right support team is peace of mind, faster results, and leverage – you know you can get any project done without being stopped by technology or something you don&#8217;t know or don&#8217;t have time for.</p>
<p><strong>8. Systems -</strong></p>
<p>I created a system for all areas of my business to avoid recreating the wheel every time I do something, so I can enjoy great productivity, leverage, and personal freedom, and can take my business to any level I want (have a document process for how things get done in your business, publishing a newsletter, issuing a refund, setting up a new client, marketing, product development and fulfillment, etc.)</p>
<p><strong>9. Market Leadership -</strong></p>
<p>I have positioned myself as the market leader and the #1 expert in my industry (I stay on the cutting edge of what&#8217;s happening in my market and create innovative solutions for my target audience, I openly communicate my opinions and beliefs, and create opportunities for industry growth; I study my industry and publish my observations; people see me as a thought leader). The result of being a market leader is that business comes easy to you. Clients want to work with you, movers &amp; shakers want to partner with you, media wants to write and talk about you.</p>
<p><strong>10. Business Vision –</strong></p>
<p>I have a clear picture of what I want to achieve in my business and what my business will look like in 5 years. My vision drives all my business and personal decisions and actions, and I wake up every day knowing that today I will move closer to my goals.</p>

<p>The hardest task so far has been to filter through the many recommendations and nominations, and come up with &#8220;true&#8221; multiple-income-streams women. When there are no information products or programs that allow an entrepreneur to leverage their knowledge and not trade time for money, that&#8217;s one of the biggest reason for leaving her out from the list. Even if she&#8217;s a super blogger or world-known trainer!</p>
