Before people will buy your product, program, or service, they first need to buy into your IDEA.
They need to buy into the belief or the core message behind what you’re selling.
- For example, people won’t buy a program on “gratitude” if they don’t believe that expressing gratitude on a regular basis is good for their physical and mental health.
- People won’t hire a confidence coach if they don’t believe that lack of confidence stops them from growing their business and getting better results.
- If people don’t believe that a virtual summit is the best way to build their mailing list, they will not buy a training on how to host their own virtual summit.
Does this make sense?
Can you see how important it is to first educate people about WHY they need something before trying to sell them your product or service?
It seems very basic, yet a lot of times we go straight to selling because we’re so passionate about what we sell, right?
Instead, sell the idea first. Get people to buy into your IDEA or BELIEF before talking about your product.
